Placing the Inside Rivet

Horseshoe cut

Placing the inside rivet can be tricky business because you have to stick your hand inside the box in order to push the two rivet pieces together (if you don't understand what I mean, you will).

To solve this problem, cut a window or door close to where you want to place the rivet, so that your arm will reach this location. Another way is to make a small "horseshoe" cut close to the location where the rivet will go. This becomes a small flap that can then be closed up without looking too conspicuous.

Mr. McGroovy's Box Rivets™ are reusable!
